I listened to Beyoncé's project and was captivated by SPAGHETTII's bridge with Shaboozey. He states "Howl to the moon-Outlaws with me, they gon' shoot-Keep the code, break the rules (break the rules)-we gon' ride for every member that we lose- Someone here brought fire, ain't no tellin' who-Play it cool-Knw the lawman watchin' me every time I move- Bounty on my head can't go west, they on my shoes-No matter what the charges is, we ain't gon' tell the truth"
This is my visual representation of the unfortunate strained relationship between the black community and law enforcement. Depicted under the night sky and blanketed by the American flag that we share, we are still very divided when it comes to our views as a nation. The torn and tattered flag represents the centuries of hardship with the relationship between our communities. The chase with a ratio of more civilian cars to one cop car was intentional. The "majority" is dwindling. The scale in which POC are growing is vast. the community, the change in perspective, the collective growth toward true "freedom" can only happen when we all work together.
